Ladies Match Reports

Harlow Ladies 5 41 Cuffley Ladies

Cuffley Ladies first ever game, a friendly fixture away at Harlow, turned into a try fest for our girls, who were playing against a Harlow team who had mostly their league team.

Our girls dominated the early exchanges, our lineout worked well with Holly soaring high with Soph and Alex making up an impressive lifting unit. Our work at the breakdown was impressive and gave Cuffley the platform to run at Harlow throughout the match.

Tash Burns at scrum half played really well and linked our powerful forwards led by Sophie Newman brilliantly. Alex ,Holly and Lisa Q tackled everything in front of them, and on top of that Alex made huge ground running straight at the Harlow pack.

Our backline led by Jade Mitchell showed quality skills and how to catch a pass, with so much front foot ball Jade took the ball to the line time and again. This drew the defence and she then allowed Rach Eaves to run hard and fast. This gave us the time to open up Harlow's defence time and again, Charlie Brown tackled and ran with purpose and Katie Ansell was solid and looked a class above.

This was a dream start for our girls with Sophie scoring 3 tries and Rachel with 2 she also kicked 4 conversions. Alex crashed over for a try and Katie finished the rout. With so much ball our girls support play and continuity allowed them to dominate most of the game.

Without doubt an unbelievable start for CUFFLEY LADIES.
